Ellen Jacoby

Casting Director
Ellen Jacoby began her career as an actress and singer, then changed her career path after a fall while performing. Ellen cast the film Push (with Chazz Palmentieri), recently cast Bachelor Party II, and cast the USA Network TV series Burn Notice. Her extensive casting credits include There’s Something About Mary, The Punisher, Stuck on You, and The Truman Show. She has received numerous awards including the Casting Society of America’s Artios Award for outstanding achievement in location casting for Parenthood, and nominations for The Truman Show and The Birdcage.
In March 1990 the Mayor of Miami Beach presented her with an award for the World’s Greatest Casting Director; he also declared Ellen Jacoby Day on Miami Beach. She was named Woman of the Millennium for the Year 2000 by Miami Metro Magazine. Ellen is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and Casting Society of America, and was appointed to the Florida Film Advisory Board by Governor Jeb Bush. Ms. Jacoby is attached to this project, and not only brings her casting prowess to the production; she also has extensive locations knowledge of Florida and will help our production achieve more ‘bang’ for the buck. Her more recent projects include Casino Jack (with Kevin Spacey), and Dreamworks’ I Am Number Four, and the recent CBS revival of Charlie’s Angels … and the feature film Rock of Ages.
